Leader details:

The Camp

We are very blessed to receive from Germany John Bolton, an accomplished Dances of Universal Peace leader for almost 30 years and source of many original songs and chants, and indeed dances. John has produced several stunning albums and has a new Youtube channel to showcase his more recent work which you can find here.

From France we have invited for the first time Asherah Boyer, a dance leader whose passions include the Goddess dances and living close to nature. Asherah will in addition be guiding the morning Sufi practices this year. Also from Germany we welcome Alina Gote, a young dance leader who teaches internationally and who recently lived in the UK.

Closer to home, after a gap of some years we are fortunate to welcome back Gulzar Lausevic, who guides blossoming dance leaders and is currently steering the Sacred Arts Camp. Rounding out the DUP staff from England will be Daren Messenger offering one more time a deepening into the Aramaic Jesus, and Glen Unmana.

In the wider programme, Daren will continue to offer Buddhist Meditation and along with Will and friends, Ecstatic Dance. Alan returns to camp to share workshops on Deep Adaptation and Natural Happiness, supported by Karim, who along with Jo Hanstead and friends will also offer Devotional Singing.

Other programme highlights include Gulzar and Simon sharing Emergent Space, Firenight and drumming with Mike and Jo Macrae, Soulwork with Darvesha, Harmonic Temple with Nickomo and friends, Yoga with Ty, Circle Dance with Rosa & Tara, Family Constellations with Barbara, Gospel Singing & Taize with Pete, Yoga Nidra with Amanda, and Vocal Improv with Dee and Jo Harvey. Other singing workshops will be given by Rebecca and Helen, as well as Katinka who will share Indian Ragas. Lastly, after gracing us with her presence last year in the Fringe, we welcome Hannah as a teacher of Sufi Whirling.

In celebration of the Unicorn’s 30th camp, David Willow has agreed to facilitate an afternoon session to reminisce and reflect on the origins and history and story of the camps. If you have an idea for celebrating the camp – and feel inspired to facilitate it – please contact Glen. Also, if you have any old photographs from the early days, please bring them to camp, we may put up a gallery in the cafe!
