Dance Leadership Training and Development

With Cordelia Jilani Prescott and Christina Gulzar Lausevic

At The Heart Centre, Luddenden, near Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire.

£235 fully residential in shared rooms, with home cooked organic meals. (£215 if paid in full by 8 October)

Jilani and Gulzar, both inspirational dance leaders, and popular mentors in the Leaders Guild of DUPUK (Dances of Universal Peace UK) are offering a rare opportunity to drink from the well of their collective expertise and experience their transmission of these powerful practices. They are currently the only mentors offering a training course in the UK.

Mentored leaders, and those new to the path of dance leading, are all invited to dive into the depth and warm support of their work together. We welcome leaders already working with a mentor, new or inexperienced dance leaders, even certified leaders who are looking for renewed motivation, inspiration or confidence with their dance leading. If you are ready to take your dance leading journey to a deeper level, this course is for you!

Learn how to hold a circle in a powerful energetic way, to enable deep healing and transformation to occur. Develop your ability to inspire, and to speak to peoples’ hearts. Deepen into the Dances of Universal Peace as a powerful tool for transformation and awakening. Learn to lead from the heart and from a sense of embodied presence.

Jilani and Gulzar are passionate about helping you to develop your skills. Both natural teachers, they bring a combined fifty years of experience as trainers, dance leaders and musicians. This training will help you to improve your own skills, but will also be a journey of personal transformation and awakening.

The intention is to offer a closed group, meeting for eight weekends over two years to deepen as a community in shared practice and development. This weekend is offered as an introduction, to give interested people a taster and to establish the geographical spread of participants, in order to best select the venue for the rest of the course.

Jilani Cordelia Prescott trained as a classical musician, and has taught music for many years. Her main focus now is teaching the Dances, at home and abroad, and she has Dance Mentees in six countries. Her passion is to work with people, enabling them to shine more fully as themselves, and to share their gifts with others.

Christina Gulzar Lausevic’s first career was in teaching and teacher education. Now a personal transformation and relationship coach and facilitator, she runs Heart Awakening Retreats integrating the dances. She leads Dances at camps and at home and abroad. She is passionate about the capacity of the Dances to help people heal and awaken to their fullest highest potential.
