We are all meant to shine!

We invite you to connect to the radiant and expansive qualities of the heart as the Sun moves towards its zenith in the northern hemisphere. This is a time of rapid growth in the natural world as the days continue to lengthen. Within us we can connect to the wild whirl of rising life energy, bringing vitality and potency to our ideas, hopes and dreams. Let love, life and ardent union with the divine be our goal as we dance together towards even greater radiance!!

Join us in sharing dance, song and delicious food together in this beautiful hall at the Westwood Centre, where we are dancing for the first time. The dancing room is light and spacious, with a wooden floor and fabulous views across the Colne valley in the South Pennines. It is accessible by public transport, or we recommend lift sharing. Please let us know if you are looking for a lift, and we will put you in touch with others who are travelling to the event.

Venue: Westwood Christian Centre, Westwood Edge Road, Golcar, Huddersfield HD7 4JY

Arrive from 9.30 am for tea and registration. We will start promptly at 10am, with breaks for lunch and snacks during the day. We will finish at 4.00pm.

Cost: £55 including a delicious lunch. Advance booking is required by 10 May for catering purposes, please.

The Dances of Universal Peace are simple sacred chants and movements danced in circles, accompanied by beautiful live music. This is an opportunity to meet ourselves and each other, fully embodied, in the heart-space of deep meditation and devotion, through chant, movement, breath practices, sharing, ritual and ceremony. Everything will be clearly guided and held, and all are welcome, whether you are new friends or old.

Jilani Cordelia and Robert Salik love to play music and lead dances together, supporting each other in joyful harmony, with guitar, viola and drum bringing sweet accompaniment to their well-matched singing voices. Let us transport you with beautiful melodies and fiery rhythms, and set your spirit free to Shine!

Both Jilani Cordelia and Robert Salik are dance leaders certified in the Leaders Guild of Dances of Universal Peace International. Jilani is also a dance mentor, and a member of the teaching circle in the Sufi Ruhaniat International.
