Leader details:
We are delighted to offer you the opportunity to join us on the island that has a central place in our hearts and our lives. We are also delighted to have our dear friend Jenny join us. We will be there at the time of balance of dark and light, the time of seal pups and migrating birds.
This is an invitation to explore the journey of healing, connecting through our breath with the whole of our body, all aspects of our being, in connection with the whole of life. We will be guided by the words of Yeshua, Jesus, in Matthew 5, which describes a way of experiencing our journey towards wholeness. We will use the language Jesus spoke, Aramaic, revealing a way of returning to our natural, original being in healthy relationship to ourselves, each other and the natural world. Being on Ynys Enlli will greatly support us as we heal into wholeness, becoming who we truly are.
Now is a “blessedly ripe” time to do this, for ourselves, for our communities, for our environments and for this living, sacred Earth. We will be guided by the work of Neil Douglas-Klotz on “the Beatitude Way”: a continual internal process that will help us affirm a state of readiness to come to wholeness, to realise our
highest purpose, and to find our right place in society and the cosmos. You can find out more about Neil’s work on this link: https://abwoon.org/
Shamsia, Halim and Jenny have studied and practiced with Neil for 20~30 years and they continue to do so.
There will be movement and stillness, singing, chanting and Dancing, body prayer and meditation, deep listening and sharing. We will have time to be alone as well as with each other as we “eat, dance and pray” together during this retreat.
We have rented Plas Bach, an 8 bedded house. There are only 4 or 5 places available. One of the rooms has a double bed and so would ideally suit a couple. You may need to share a twin room. If you have not been to Ynys Enlli before please contact me to arrange to have a chat about it as it is unique. Plas Bach has a wood stove and an oil range. Warm, dry clothes will be essential, with indoor slippers or shoes. I often describe it as a bit like indoor camping. We need to take all our food with us and we return with all our rubbish and recycling.
Please do read the information on the website. It will give you a sense of what it is like staying on the island: https://enlli.org/ visit/accommodation/
Contact us if you have any questions.
Delays
We are in the same position as the Trust (see: Delays and Cancellations) : If there are delays reaching the Island we will not be able to make any refunds to you for lost days, the Trust and ourselves are not liable for any losses under any circumstances. It is also the case that our return to the mainland may be delayed. This does not incur any additional costs. You might wish to consider travel insurance.
Costs: There is deposit payable of £75 which is non-refundable. The retreat will cost £450/person and the remaining £375 will need to be paid by 21/06/26 please. If this is difficult please get in touch and we’ll make other arrangements. The cost stated includes the boat fare. There is a cost of parking a vehicle in the field of Cwrt Farm which is not included in the cost. In 2025 it was £20. The cost does not include food which we need to bring ourselves. If you are travelling by public transport, given your shopping list we may be able to get supplies in for you. We will also endeavour to share lifts to Cwrt Farm.
If you do need to cancel please let us know as soon as possible. The deposit of £75 is non-refundable. If you have to cancel for any reason after the balance has been paid to us we can only make a refund if your place can be filled. In the case of a couple sharing a room this may be half the amount you paid if only one person is to replace two of you.
