This is an annual event run by The Dance leaders’ guild for the whole dance community. Its a chance to come together for a heart-opening, weekend of Dances of Universal Peace, embodied practices, nature walks and connecting with friends old and new in the circle and over a nice cup of tea or a hearty meal.
We want this weekend to be accessible to as many of the dance community as possible, so whilst it is residential and fully catered, there are non residential and various catering options available, as well as fully accessible accommodation. Whilst we don’t have bursaries as such, some participants contribute with generosity, so please get in touch if you need support to come and we will do our best to help you.
All sessions are co-led by our community of dance leaders. Following the feed back from last year, we will be extending the break times to allow more space for resting, relaxing, walking and chatting. This means that there will be fewer dance leading spots. We will be allocating them on a first come, first served basis.
Single rooms are also limited, so if you would like one of these please book sooner rather than later as these will also be allocated on a first come, first served basis, as will the rooms with chair lift access and fewer stairs.
A note on the catering options. This year The Nightingale centre has decided that if you are non- residential you can book either one or two main meals (lunch & dinner being the main meals). If you book two main meals they throw the breakfast in for free, this is why I have listed the catering options as either one main meal or fully catered. They aren’t offering breakfast as a stand alone meal (don’t ask me why, the directive has come from their board of trustees rather than the events team, who are equally flummoxed).
If you are choosing a non-catered option, know that tea, coffee and biscuits throughout the day are included in the price. They have a small fridge, kettle and microwave for those bringing their own food and you will still be eating in the dining room with everyone else.
